This job was to dig on the bottom of a soil pipe and remove a gully trap buried underneath the concrete. We disconnected the stack and broke out concrete floor at the base of the stack. Once exposed the trap, found material of the trap to be cast iron. We broke and cut out the cast trap allowing space for new plastic fittings to be installed, then connected the plastic to the cast via dc couplings. Once all connected up back filled and reinstated with concrete.
